Empire star Grace Gealey confirms marriage

Empire star Grace Gealey has confirmed reports she secretly wed her co-star Trai Byers last week (ends17Apr16).

Editors at TMZ.com reported that the couple wed on Thursday (14Apr16) at a mansion on Grand Cayman Island, in the Caribbean, in a private ceremony and reception.

And on Sunday (17Apr16), Grace took to Instagram to share her first snap as a newlywed, snuggling close to her new husband Trai.

"We're married!," Grace wrote. "God is so good. To all who have extended congrats and well wishes, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Love, Mr. & Mrs. Byers."

According to TMZ, just a handful of guests attended, limited to close friends and family, and none of the pair's Empire co-stars, including Terrence Howard and Taraji P. Henson, were reportedly invited.

However, there didn't seem to be any bad blood with her fellow actors, as Grace received well wishes from Gabourey Sidibe following the announcement, to which the new Mrs. Byers responded, "Thank you my love!!"

Grace and Trai reportedly began dating early last year (15), and became engaged in July (15).
