Emmy Rossum exchanged vows in a floor-length, embroidered Carolina Herrera gown over the weekend (28May17).

The actress wed Mr. Robot creator Sam Esmail at Central Synagogue in New York and the couple celebrated the nuptials with family and friends at the Guggenheim Museum, where guests included Mr. Robot stars Rami Malek and Christian Slater, Robert Downey, Jr., William H. Macy, and Hilary Swank.

Emmy, who fell for Sam while he was directing her in 2014's Comet, has posted a wedding day photo online since becoming Mrs. Esmail on Sunday (28May17), during the Memorial Day holiday weekend. It features herself and Esmail standing holding hands as they say their 'I dos', while staring into each other's eyes.

Other shots from the big day, posted by friends, include one of the bride and her flower girls, and another of Emmy posing with her pals for a photobooth picture at the Guggenheim.

Designer Herrera also posted a snap of the bride wearing one of her gowns, adding the caption: "The elegant @emmyrossum wore a custom #CarolinaHerrera wedding gown yesterday to her nuptials in NYC."

Emmy revealed she had turned to Herrera to create her wedding dress in February (17), as she attended New York Fashion Week, and admitted she was taking a laid-back approach to planning her big day.

"We haven't done any (fittings)," she told E! at the time, insisting she had complete faith in Herrera's designs, which she has previously worn for various red carpet events. "She's got it. There's no rush. She can turn it around in a day. I'm not concerned... I don't really care what the dress looks like.

"I don't really care what the plates look like. I don't really care what the invitation looks like. The only thing that's really important to me is that we get married and there's some kind of party."
