Rapper Eminem surprised students at high schools in Flint, Michigan by appearing at their graduation ceremonies via video.

The Lose Yourself star reached out to school officials and asked to be a part of the commencement on Tuesday (07Jun17).

"What's up Class of 2017? This is Eminem," he said in the video. "I just want to say congratulations to the graduating seniors of Flint Northwestern, Flint Southwestern and Flint Accelerated Learning Academy. Congrats to all your guys' hard work, man. You earned this moment."

In addition to the video appearance, Eminem, who is a Michigan native, also gave every graduating student a pair of Beats by Dre headphones through his Marshall Mathers Foundation.

The residents of Flint have been in the news for the past few years after a pollution disaster left thousands of them exposed to lead-contaminated water.

This isn't the first time the rapper has helped the people of Flint - last year (16) he provided thousands of students with school supplies by teaming up with organizers at the Kids In Need Foundation.
