EMINEM OPENS UP ON NEW SONG

Eminem discusses his struggle to "get clean" on his latest rap single, the first from his upcoming Recovery album.

The track, Not Afraid, leaked online minutes before the rapper officially premiered it on his Shade 45 Sirius Satellite network on Thursday (29Apr10).

In the introduction, a philosophical Eminem says, "I guess I had to go to that place to get to this one," before rapping, "I'm not afraid to take a stand/Everybody, come take my hand/We'll walk this road together, through the storm/Whatever weather... you're not alone," through the choruses.

He adds, "I promise to focus on only handling my responsibilities as a father/So I solemnly swear to always treat this room like my daughters and raise it... I'm raising the bar, Imma shoot for the moon/But I'm too busy gazing at stars, I feel amazing and I'm not afraid."

Eminem has said very little about his personal demons, which landed him in rehab during a recent hiatus
