Emily Blunt and Charlize Theron stunned by Jessica Chastain's all-action talents

Jessica Chastain made her fellow leading ladies in new movie The Huntsman: Winter's War think twice about complaining on set, because she was such an all-action girl.

Charlize Theron and Emily Blunt, who play evil sisters in the fantasy film, had to totter around in uncomfortable high heels and heavy gowns, while Jessica became a stunt superstar.

And The Help star's willingness to take on tough challenges made them feel terrible after grumbling about poor shoe choices and heavy gowns.

"Charlize and I spent our time hobbling around in high heels going, 'My feet hurt!' That was the extent of our action," Emily, who was an action woman in Sicario and Edge of Tomorrow, told WENN. "Jessica would come into the makeup bus just pouring with sweat from something some awful stunt coordinator had made her do."

And there was one moment when Charlize, who has enjoyed a string of action roles in films like Mad Max: Fury Road and Aeon Flux, realised she had to step up.

"We were doing the fight sequence where Jessica jumps from the balcony and (director) Cedric (Nicolas-Troyan) is saying, 'I know you're close to the step here but I need you right on the edge and you have to turn'.

"I was like, 'Do you know what I'm wearing?' And, as I'm b**ching and moaning about turning in the scene, I'm looking at Jessica and she's ready to jump! She's up there with barely a harness on and no mat (to catch her), and I'm just like, 'Oh my God, I need to shut up!'"

Action man Chris Hemsworth, who joined the ladies for the Snow White & the Huntman prequel, is also full of praise for Jessica - but he loved working with all three super women.

"It was great," he told U.K. chat show host Graham Norton. "There was a lot less testosterone! It was a different chemistry but a lot of fun with three incredibly talented and intimidating women. I loved it."
