Actress Ellen Page has hit back at a pastor who wrote to her denouncing her homosexuality.

The Juno star revealed she is a lesbian during a speech at the Human Rights Campaign's Time to THRIVE conference in Las Vegas in February (14), claiming she hoped her admission would help other young gay people.

An unnamed pastor has reportedly since written to the actress denouncing her sexuality and urging her to turn to religion, and the star has now taken to Twitter.com to reply to his message.

She writes, "2 da (To the) Pastor who wrote me-Being gay isn't a belief. My soul isnt (sic) struggling & I don't want arms of Heavenly Father around me. A girls arms? Yes."

Messages of support have since poured in and the post has been re-tweeted more than 8,000 times.
