Ed Sheeran wants Game of Thrones role

Ed Sheeran is hoping to land another cameo role in Game Of Thrones after he turned down a part in the hit TV show three years ago.

The Thinking Out Loud hitmaker was in talks with the drama's producers about taking on a small role in 2012, but he missed out on the opportunity because he could not fit it in with his touring schedule.

Sheeran now hopes to be given another chance, telling Britain's The Sun newspaper, "There were talks ages ago of me being an extra, which would have been cool. But every time they shoot it's the time I tour in the U.K... But I've got that time off this year, so I'm going to hound them."

Sheeran has previously made cameo appearances in Sesame Street and Australian soap opera Home and Away.
