Ed Sheeran turns country estate into wildlife sanctuary

Ed Sheeran has inadvertently turned his new Suffolk home in England into a nature sanctuary because wildlife loves to camp out on his estate.

The Shape of You singer owns two cats but now his pad has become a regular hang for otters, hedgehogs, herons and barn owls.

"I’ve got a bunch of stuff," he tells The Sun. "It’s a cool environment to be in."

But his furry, spiny and feathered friends are costing him a small fortune in fish.

"The otters are funny," he explains, "because I bought some koi fish. I spent a bit of money on these because I wanted to have some nice fish for my pond.

"This otter obviously has expensive taste and ate all of them. So we bought some more koi fish for the otter. Now this otter lives there and is just sitting there smoking a cigar, living the expensive life."
