Ed Sheeran hosting private pizza party for charity

Ed Sheeran is giving one lucky fan the chance to join him for a private pizza party in Los Angeles to raise money for the fight against AIDS.

The Shape of You hitmaker has teamed up with officials behind rocker Bono's (RED) non-profit organization in the lead up to World AIDS Day on 1 December (17) to launch the new Omaze.com campaign.

Fans who make donations of $10 or more will be entered into the raffle, with the winner being flown out to L.A. to attend the iHeartRadio Jingle Ball on 1 December (17), when Ed, who is among the artists on the concert bill, will treat them to a pizza party and an intimate performance.

The British pop star announced the competition in a video message, in which he said, "We're gonna share two of the most emotional experiences that the world has to offer: a private acoustic performance of a love song... and pizza."

As part of the promotional clip, Ed also took part in a game called Cheesy Love Song or Cheesy Pizza Review, in which the singer had to guess whether each line he was presented with was either a song lyric or a pizza review.

All donations made to the (RED) Omaze campaign will benefit the Global Fund, which helps to provide life-saving medication to mothers and babies affected by HIV/AIDS.
