Ed Sheeran breaks Guinness World Record for U.K. chart climb

British singer Ed Sheeran has broken a Guinness World Record for the longest climb to the number one spot in the U.K. chart with his single Thinking Out Loud.
The Sing hitmaker released the ballad at the end of June, 2014 and it remained in the U.K. Top 40 singles chart for 19 weeks until it finally hit the number one position in November, 2014.
He has now been presented with a framed certificate by officials at
Guinness World Records to acknowledge the feat.
Sheeran shared a picture of the certificate on Instagram.com and
wrote in the caption, "That ain't too s**t is it."
The record was previously held by Celine Dion with Think Twice,
which took 13 weeks to reach the top spot after entering the top 40
back in 1994.
