Ed Sheeran & DJ Khaled revamp MTV's TRL with tribute to Las Vegas shooting victims

Ed Sheeran and Dj Khaled kicked off revamped MTV show Trl on a somber note on Monday (02Oct17) by gathering to pay tribute to the victims of Sunday night's mass shooting in Las Vegas.


Before the show began outside in Times Square, New York, hosts D.C. Young Fly and Tamara Dhia hit the studio with their guests to note the deaths of 59 people at the Route 91 Harvest Festival.

The show then got underway with DJ khaled welcoming fans to the returning MTV show and introducing Migos, who performed in the street.

The rapper later addressed the shooting drama at the Route 91 Harvest Festival on Sunday night (01Oct17), urging the excited studio audience to observe a little silence, adding, "It's important that we all pray more. God is great. There's a lot of things going on the world right now. We have to stay focused. We have to spread more love..."

Ed Sheeran became the first act to perform on the MTV's new TRL studio set.

He belted out Perfect and Castle On The Hill.
