Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson worked very hard to keep his girlfriend's pregnancy news under wraps.

The wrestler-turned-actor took to Instagram on Monday (11Dec17) to announce that his long-time partner Lauren Hashian was expecting a baby girl, a sibling for their 23-month-old daughter Jasmine.

Dwayne and Lauren shared the happy news shortly before they attended the premiere of Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, and during an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Tuesday night, the star explained that only a handful of people knew about the pregnancy.

"Family is so important to me, so naturally, I contact no one. Maybe five people knew (about the baby)," he said. "The information was tightly locked down. We set out to create the post announcing the pregnancy - and it was the same day as the (Jumanji) premiere - and all afternoon and night the phone was blowing up."

Dwayne added that he is truly looking forward to becoming a father of three daughters - the Central Intelligence actor is also father to Simone, 16, from his marriage to Dany Garcia.

"I've got strong swimmers, Jimmy," the 45-year-old laughed. "I feel good. I was raised by women all my life, basically. And this is my third daughter. (I'm) surrounded by estrogen. Bring on the estrogen!"

During the interview, Dwayne also discussed how he was going to close out a remarkable year by getting a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. And he revealed that his star will be positioned near those of two of his favorite people.

"I'm really, really grateful this week," he smiled. "The committee was excited to tell me that on one side is (WWE boss) Vince McMahon who is my mentor and a father figure to me for many years, and on the other side is Bruno Mars."
