Duke and Duchess of Cambridge plot festive U.S. trip
Prince William and his wife Catherine, Duchess Of Cambridge are heading to the U.S. over the holiday season for a whistlestop two-day tour next month (Dec14).
The British royals, who are expecting their second child, will attend engagements together in New York City on behalf of the British government and their charitable organizations between 7 and 9 December (14).
The couple will attend a number of events including a visit to the
World Trade Center site and 9/11 memorial and a trip to a
basketball game to launch a new collaboration between the Royal
Foundation, the United for Wildlife non-profit organization and the
National Basketball Association (NBA).
Prince William will also make a solo trip to Washington, D.C. to
attend an anti-corruption conference at the World Bank and give a
speech about the trade of illegal wildlife parts.
The trip will mark the Duchess' first overseas visit since she
canceled a visit to Malta in September (14) because she was
suffering acute morning sickness.
The couple's son Prince George will remain behind in England.
