Duchess' tears over War Horse

Catherine, Duchess Of Cambridge openly wept at the London premiere of War Horse, according to the movie's director Steven Spielberg.

Britain's Prince William and his wife were the guests of honor at the red carpet screening in the U.K. capital on Sunday night (08Jan12), the eve of the Duchess' 30th birthday.

The royal was so moved by the war drama, she was handed a tissue by Spielberg's wife Kate Capshaw to dry her tears.

He tells the BBC, "I was sitting next to her and all I know is at one point my wife, who was sitting to my right, right in front of my face she passed a Kleenex... I saw the Kleenex go across my face, arrive and stop but I didn't want to intrude on her experience watching War Horse so I never glanced over."
