Drake reunites with Degrassi co-stars for web series premiere

Rapper Drake reunited with his former Degrassi co-stars on Wednesday night (05Aug15) to support his friends at the premiere of their new web series.

The Started From The Bottom hitmaker was in Toronto, Canada to headline his OVO Fest over the weekend (ends02Aug15) and he decided to stick around his hometown to reunite with his former castmates Al Mukaddam and Mazin Elsadig, who star in the web series We Are Disorderly.

Drake, who played aspiring basketball star Jimmy Brooks on the long-running teen drama, happily posed for photos with his pals, alongside his other co-stars Daniel Clark, Adam Ruggiero, Lauren Collins, and Jonathan Malen.

The impromptu reunion comes two months after Degrassi was canceled by Canadian network bosses after 14 seasons. However, executives at Netflix quickly picked up the show and new episodes are set to premiere next year (16).
