DRAKE GETS ARMOURED FOR GEARS OF WAR 3

Hip-hop star Drake is turning videogame action hero - the rapper is lending his voice to the highly-anticipated Gears of War sequel.
The Best I Ever Had hitmaker caught the attention of producers at Epic Games after the release of his 2009 EP So Far Gone and they immediately approached him to pitch the role of soldier Jace Stratton in Gears of War 3.
Rod Fergusson, Epic's Executive Producer, says, "When we began casting for the role, So Far Gone had just (been) released, and Drake’s combination of heart and grit was just what we were looking for. Rather than search for somebody who sounded like him, it was clear that we should approach him directly… fortunately he turned out to be a huge fan."
And Drake jumped at the chance to be a part of the blockbuster franchise.
He says, "When Epic came to me with the role, I couldn't pass it up. They've created an amazing character in Jace and I'm looking forward to my tour in Delta Squad."
The final installment of the hit videogame series is due for release next year (11).
