Rapper Drake is giving back to a community in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania by pledging to build a recording studio for students of an underprivileged school.

Strawberry Mansion High School was deemed "one of the most dangerous high schools in America" during a special report on current affairs show World News with Diane Sawyer, which aired in May (13), and Drake was so moved by the segment, he decided to reach out to local education officials, according to AllHipHop.com.

In a taped segment for the program earlier this week (begs02Dec13), he said, "I caught this piece that Diane did and by the end of it I was so heavily affected by it, I started questioning major aspects of my life."

Drake accompanied Sawyer when she returned to the high school and broke the happy news to the thrilled students.

He told the crowd, "In the next few months I'm building a recording studio inside your school. This about you. This about your principal. This about your future. I love you. I care about you. I want to see you succeed."
