Dr. Luke ends legal battle with Kesha's mom

Hitmaker Dr. Luke and Kesha's mom Pebe Sebert have ended their long-running legal spat after his defamation suit against her was dismissed this week (ends23Jun17).

He filed the lawsuit in Tennessee, after Sebert claimed he raped her daughter.

The parties have released a joint statement, in which Pebe admits "she has no firsthand personal knowledge of the events occurring on the night of the alleged rape".

Luke, real name Lukasz Gottwald, initially sued Sebert for defamation and tortious interference in the contract between Kesha and Luke in 2014, and that complaint was followed by a second defamation lawsuit in September, 2016, in which he cited comments made in a Billboard story and online.

Sebert previously countersued Dr. Luke but dropped that case in April, 2016.

Kesha and Luke are still fighting a defamation wrangle in New York.

He has denied claims he raped Kesha and is suing her for making statements to the contrary.
