Dove Cameron engaged to Disney show boyfriend

Disney stars Dove Cameron and Ryan Mccartan are engaged.

The couple announced the happy news on their social media accounts on Thursday (14Apr16).

"Dedicating my 1,000th post to my fiancee," Ryan, 22, wrote as a caption to a photo of the couple on the red carpet. "I can't believe I get to call you that. Thanks for saying yes."

The 20-year-old actress later gushed, "calling you my 'boyfriend' never really felt right anyway. fiancee (sic) looks better on you," adding a selfie shot of the pair on a beach.

The couple met while playing boyfriend and girlfriend on Disney sitcom Liv & Maddie in 2013. Cameron still plays title character, Liv, while Ryan quit the show last year (15). The pair also co-starred in the TV movie R.L. Stine's Monsterville: The Cabinet of Souls.
