Donald Glover and James Earl Jones have snagged leading roles in The Lion King remake.
Glover will portray Simba and Jones will reprise his role as Mufasa in Jon Favreau's revamp.
The Jungle Book director announced the casting news via Twitter on Friday (17Feb17).
Under a picture of Glover, he captioned: "I just can’t wait to be king. #Simba", while writing: "Looking forward to working with this legend. #Mufasa," under a photo of Jones, who gave voice to the same character in Disney's 1994 animated original.
Glover also recently took on another iconic movie role after signing up to play Lando Calrissian in the young Han Solo Star Wars spin-off.
Jonathan Taylor Thomas and Matthew Broderick voiced Simba in the original The Lion King.
