Disney introduces first Latina princess

Actress Aimee Carrero is set to make Disney history as the voice of the studio's first Latina princess.
The Young & Hungry star will bring 16-year-old Princess Elena of Avalor to life in an upcoming episode of animated kids' show Sofia the First, before starring in her own spin-off series, Elena of Avalor.
Announcing the news, Disney chiefs state, "(Princess Elena) is a
confident and compassionate teenager in an enchanted fairy tale
kingdom inspired by diverse Latin cultures and folklore."
Both shows will air on the Disney Junior network in 2016.
