DJ and music producer Diplo has signed a contract with Next Management.

The globe-trotting artist has built up a reputation for his eclectic streetwear looks, rocking everything from cotton shirts to custom suits.

For his next gig, Diplo is readying himself to get in front of the camera, after he joined the books of prestigious New York-based modeling agency Next Management.

"We, at Next Management, have a huge appreciation for those who use their gifts to affect culture in a positive way," Next founder Faith Kates told WWD of the company's latest signing. "As fashion is representative of the collision of all pop cultures, we are...confident that Diplo's insight into culture and prowess in music will resonate with brands."

Diplo, real name Thomas Wesley Pentz, boasts over 3.6 million followers on Instagram and has previously made the list of GQ magazine's best dressed men. And the 38-year-old star is now looking forward to expressing himself in an array of upcoming fashion-related projects.

"With the worlds of fashion, music and wider visual culture growing closer, I want to explore a new world of creativity and am thrilled to sign with Next Management who understand what I represent and where I want to be," Diplo said in a statement, adding, "Plus, I've just always wanted to be a supermodel."

For his main career, the Grammy Award winner runs his own record label, Mad Decent, and makes music with group Major Lazer. He has also previously worked with superstars such as Madonna, Beyonce and Justin Bieber.

Under its talent division, Next Management's books also include Rita Ora, Lana Del Rey, A$AP Rocky and Ellie Goulding.
