Dina Lohan arrested for drunk driving

Lindsay Lohan's mother Dina has been arrested on suspicion of drunk driving.

The 50 year old was pulled over in her native Long Island, New York on Thursday night (12Sep13) after she was allegedly caught speeding.

During the stop, officials state Dina Lohan appeared intoxicated and she was placed under arrest after a blood alcohol level test registered at .20 - more than twice the legal limit of .08.

The mom of four claimed that she was injured during the arrest, but a representative for New York authorities says, "State Police called an ambulance to have Lohan evaluated. When emergency personnel arrived and evaluated Lohan, there were no injuries and she recanted her claim."

Dina was booked on two counts of driving while intoxicated (DWI) and one count of speeding, before being released.

She will face the charges in court later this month (Sep13).

Dina's arrest is the latest drama for the Lohan family - her famous daughter recently completed a court-ordered 90-day stint in rehab after pleading no contest to misdemeanour charges relating to a June, 2012 car accident. She was sentenced to community service, therapy sessions and rehab.
