Demi Lovato falls sick on tour

Demi Lovato's tour has been thrown into jeopardy as the singer has fallen sick just days after kicking off her shows.

The star began her Neon Lights trek in Vancouver, Canada on 9 February (14), but she has now come down with a mystery illness just a week into the tour.

Lovato first began suffering symptoms on Friday (14Feb14), writing in posts on Twitter.com, "Nooooooo!!! I just woke up sick!!! Chicken noodle soup and hot tea please.... Baby Jesus I need a miracle!!! I wanna sing tomorrow!!!"

However, her illness failed to improve over the weekend (15-16Feb14) and she added, "I'm not sure what's worse - chills while taking a hot shower or body aches while laying down."

Lovato refused to let her ill health affect her schedule and went ahead with her gig in Glendale, Arizona on Saturday (15Sat14), but she fears she will not be well enough to perform in her native Texas on Monday (17Feb14)

She adds, "I don't wanna be sick anymore... I wanna hit the gym or something productive!!!!... I'm so excited for Grand Prairie, Tx (sic)... So many friends and family coming!!!!!"

On Sunday night (16Feb14), Lovato shared pictures of medical equipment, including a steam inhaler, assuring fans she is doing everything possible to be well enough to perform, writing, "Doing everything I possibly can to get better by... Humidifier, Thera Flu and steam inhaler!!!"
