Demi Lovato and Wilmer Valderrama mourning loss of dog

Pop star Demi Lovato and her actor boyfriend Wilmer Valderrama are mourning the sudden death of their beloved pet pooch, Buddy.

The former That '70s Show star gifted the dog to the Skyscraper hitmaker a week before Christmas last year (14), and the two have shown off their love for little Buddy ever since, even creating an Instagram.com account specifically for him.

However, on Tuesday (28Jul15), Lovato shared the sad news that their pup had passed away in a tragic accident.

Lovato wrote on Twitter.com, "We are absolutely heartbroken to be writing this but Wilmer and I are devastated to inform you that we lost our little angel Buddy last Sunday. He was taken from us way too soon in a tragic accident and though I will never know why this had to happen, I do know that God only puts us through situations that we can handle so with that, together we our staying strong."
