Demi Lovato and John Legend are among the stars who will pay tribute to Lionel Richie at the Grammy Awards next week (15Feb16).
The All Night Long star is being honoured as the 2016 MusiCares Person of the Year, and that comes with an all-star Grammys salute, during which he will be feted at music's biggest night.
Lovato and Legend will be joined by country singer Luke Bryan and Meghan Trainor for a medley of Lionel's hits from his time with soul group the Commodores to the present day.
Richie is also set to join the singers on stage to perform a "special rendition" of one of his classic hits.
The R&B legend will be formally presented with the accolade during a benefit gala two days before the Grammy prizegiving on Saturday (13Feb16), with proceeds from the event benefiting MusiCares, an organisation which aids musicians during times of financial, medical and personal need.
