David Arquette had to get OK from daughter before Dancing decision

David Arquette signed on for the new season of Dancing With The Stars after a heart-to-heart chat with his daughter Coco.

The Scream star was announced as a contestant on the hit show, alongside Chaz Bono, Ricki Lake and Elisabetta Canalis, on Monday (29Aug11) and he admits he had to make sure the decision to dance on national TV was OK with his seven year old.

He explains, "I said, 'Coco, what do you think..?' and she said, 'Well, initially my feeling's no, but let me go to school and talk it over with my best friend Ashley.'

"I was like, 'You can't talk to Ashley about this; it's a pretty big secret.'

"She came around and she's supportive."
