He tells Spinner.com, "I'm a musician and I understand that; I don't think it's a bad thing. I just don't see why they feel the need to make it public.
"It seems as if (being part of the show) could be a negative thing, the connotation is that they're somehow cooler than Glee.
"I think that's their choice, and there doesn't need to be any kind of malice created from it. They've got the music, they've got nothing to prove. They're great bands."
