Courteney Cox to direct Kodaline music video
Courteney Cox will direct Irish rockers Kodaline's next music video.
The Friends actress met the band through her fiance, Snow Patrol star Johnny McDaid, and they have now recruited her to shoot the promo for their upcoming single Love Will Set You Free.
Cox will direct the film at her Los Angeles mansion next month
(May15), marking her first time in charge of a music video. She has
previously directed episodes of her TV show Cougar Town.
Kodaline singer Steve Garrigan tell Britain's The Sun newspaper,
"We met Courteney through Johnny when we recorded our album in L.A.
and she is really lovely and down to earth... Because Friends is so
famous we struggled not to hum the theme tune around her or call
her Monica by mistake.
"She suggested directing a video for us and filming it and we were
like 'yeah cool'. It's pretty random but we're excited about the
shoot in a few weeks. We're shooting it at her house which is a
beautiful gaff (home) with its own beach by the sea."
The single is set for release later this year (15).
