Controversial Nicki Minaj waxwork to stay at Madame Tussauds
Bosses at Madame Tussauds Las Vegas have dismissed reports suggesting they are moving Nicki Minaj's controversial waxwork from the museum.
Sources have told multiple news outlets that complaints about the racy waxwork, which depicts Minaj on all fours, prompted museum chiefs to get rid of the still-life doppelganger, but Madame Tussauds officials insist the model is too popular for them to consider taking the display away.
Spokesman Cole Kouvaris tells Billboard.com, "Nicki Minaj's wax
figure has not been removed from Madame Tussauds Las Vegas. The set
has merely been adjusted."
Staff at the museum were forced to increase security around the
statue last month (Aug15) after a fan took an inappropriate snap
with the Minaj waxwork.
At the time a statement read: "We are taking immediate steps to
ensure more staff are present in this area and that the set around
this particular figure is redesigned so that a picture like this
cannot be taken again."
