Collins auditioned for rival Snow White role
Lily Collins was determined to play Snow White on the big screen - she auditioned for both upcoming blockbusters about the fairytale princess.
The British star, daughter of musician Phil Collins, will appear as the dwarf-befriending beauty in Mirror, Mirror, in which Julia Roberts takes on the role of the Evil Queen.
The star has now revealed that she came close to playing the same
part in the action-packed version of the tale, Snow White and the
Huntsman, which stars Kristen Stewart in the titular role.
She tells Access Hollywood, "I did read the other Snow White
script. I auditioned for it, but I've been so excited for Kristen.
I think that story is so different than ours and the girls are so
different. She's perfect for her version.
"I'm really excited to be doing this one. I think they have totally
different audiences."
Collins' turn as Snow White comes out in March (12), three months
before Stewart tackles the tale on the big screen.
