Colin Hanks has revealed his stepmother Rita Wilson is free of breast cancer after undergoing a double mastectomy last month (Apr15).
Tom Hanks' wife was diagnosed with the deadly disease and took a temporary medical leave from Broadway play Fish in the Dark to recover.
On Wednesday (13May15), Tom's actor son told Entertainment Tonight that Wilson is doing well and is free from cancer.
Hanks revealed, "She's cancer-free, which is great. She's doing fabulous, everything's safe and sound. She's doing the best we possibly could hope and is absolutely slaying them over at Fish in the Dark."
Wilson, who is in the early stages of reconstructive surgery, returned to Larry David's play earlier this month (May15).
