Claire Danes embraces pub culture after Hugh Dancy marriage

Claire Danes is perfecting her boozing skills so she can keep up with her British in-laws.

The Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines star has embraced England's pub culture since she started dating Brit Hugh Dancy, and now she's married to the actor she feels she can't simply sip wine politely at parties.

Claire Danes explains, "I've been in training for a number of years now. They're (Brits) not kidding... My in-laws can drink me under the table.

"I've now come to really enjoy pub culture but there was a transitional period where I was sorta like, 'What is this?' 'Cos they sit in one seat and drink for about seven hours straight... We (Americans) drink, but we drink and do other things, like, we drink and eat or we drink and dance or we drink and, like, take a walk and go drink somewhere else.

"They talk and that's probably why they've produced such witty, clever people."
