Christina Aguilera kissed a girl on TV - and she liked it

Christina Aguilera sent temperatures soaring on TV talent show The Voice when she locked lips with a female contestant.

Kata Hay was thrilled when three of the show's four celebrity judges turned their spinning chairs around to face her as she performed at the blind auditions, which aired on Tuesday (01Mar16).

After hugging the judges, Kata then informed Christina she was her "official first girl crush", prompting the returning judge, who skipped the last season of the show, to offer up a kiss.

"You’re so freaking beautiful!" she said. "Should we just make out now? Let’s just get it over with so we can get to work."

The wannabe and the star then kissed as the audience cheered.
