Christina Aguilera honoured by gay community

Christina Aguilera has become the first star to be honoured on The Abbey's Gay Walk of Fame in Los Angeles.

The Beautiful hitmaker was recognised for her positive contributions to the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community by the owners of the famous West Hollywood gay bar.

The Grammy Award-winning singer made her mark in history by placing her hands and feet in cement outside The Abbey Food and Bar on Wednesday (20Apr11).

The ceremony took place a week before Aguilera launches a new career as a reality TV talent show judge - the Genie in a Bottle star will be part of the panel when The Voice debuts on Tuesday (26Apr11).
