John Legend's wife Chrissy Teigen has asked fans to send their pet bulldog "happy doggy thoughts" after he was hospitalized with heart failure.

The model and TV personality took to Twitter late on Sunday (12Nov17) to share the news of Puddy's health crisis.

"At the emergency vet with my old man bulldog puddy," she wrote. "Please send him happy doggy thoughts... my first born baby".

Followers were quick to respond with a flood of well wishes, and she posted an update shortly afterward.

Responding to one fan who inquired about the pooch's ailment, she tweeted, "Heart failure but he is stable at the moment," adding that she would be up all night worrying about her beloved bulldog. "not sleeping tonight that's for sure."

Doting mom Chrissy was back at the medical center on Monday (13Nov17).

"bright and early at the animal hospital, hell yea," she captioned a photo of a coffee machine.

Puddy was the first dog Chrissy and singer John adopted as a couple. The stars are also proud owners of two French bulldogs, Penny and Pippa, as well as English bulldog puppy Pepper, who was adopted in October (17).

Chrissy introduced fans to the latest addition to their furry family in a sweet photo on social media, showing their daughter Luna, one, playing with their new pet.

The beauty is also keen to expand their clan even more by giving little Luna a sibling in the near future.

Chrissy, who has struggled with fertility issues in the past, recently told InStyle magazine that she and her man are ready to try for another child in the "coming months" by undergoing a new round of in vitro fertilization.

The last time she did this, the couple ended up with Luna, and Chrissy is hoping the third time is a charm too.

"The first little girl didn't work, and then the second is Luna," she explained.
