Chrissy Teigen playing John Legend's personal chef on tour

Chrissy Teigen is perfecting her latest cookbook recipes by playing her husband John Legend's personal chef on tour.

The model is whipping up treats from her follow-up to last year's (16) Cravings whenever she can in between John's shows in North America.

''I'm trying to finish the cookbook and I need a kitchen!" she tells People. "I want to tweet like, 'Anyone here in Clearwater have a kitchen I can use?' I have to finish this book!"

It's a good thing her husband is a big fan of Chrissy's cooking - unlike the couple's 13-month-old daughter Luna, who refuses to eat mom's food.

"If I try to steam green beans or puree them, she will not eat that," Chrissy explains. "She loves my mom's scalloped potatoes, she loves real food, but she will not eat my own food, which kind of breaks my heart. I take it personally."

Meanwhile, the model and TV personality recently revealed she had to postpone plans to release a follow-up to her first cookbook after losing her appetite as she secretly battled postpartum depression.

She went public with her baby blues in an essay for Glamour magazine, in which she admitted to becoming a recluse as she struggled to adjust to life as a first-time mom following the birth of Luna in April, 2016.

"With the first (book), I was in the kitchen the whole time," she explained in the Glamour piece. "I stirred every pot, tasted everything. Had genuine excitement for Every. Single. Recipe."

But when she started planning the follow-up, Chrissy found she had no appetite and "the idea of having to test and taste recipes actually made me vomit".

"I had to postpone my second cookbook, but my editor, Francis Lam, and publisher couldn't have been more understanding," she added. "To go from discussing layouts and recipes and shoot days to a complete 'off' switch was, I'm sure, not a great thing to hear. But, again, I cannot overstate how lucky I am to work with these people."
