Actor Chris Pratt delighted fans at a children's cancer facility in Boston, Massachusetts on Friday (06Feb15) by making good on his promise to visit sick patients after losing a Super Bowl bet with pal Chris Evans.

Pratt showed up at Christopher's Haven dressed in his Guardians of the Galaxy character's costume and posed for photos with the kids, alongside Captain America star Evans.

The pair shared snaps from the day out with fans online, and in one image Evans proudly holds up a New England Patriots jersey as Seattle Seahawks fan Pratt pulls a face for the cameras.

Pratt reluctantly donned the jersey later on during the visit, and, in a statement issued to the New York Daily News, he writes, "I honored my end of the bet from the Twitterbowl.

"Wasn't easy to wear a Patriots jersey, but it was so great to visit the sweet kids and their families at Christopher's Haven Boston with Chris Evans."

The Marvel movie superheroes are also planning to treat kids at Pratt's favorite charity, the Seattle Children's Hospital, to a special visit, even though the actor lost the friendly wager.

The bet helped to raise an extra $27,000 for the two organizations.

The Patriots beat the Seahawks in last weekend's (01Feb15) Super Bowl.
