Chris Evans and Chris Pratt set Super Bowl challenge for charity
Marvel movie superheroes Chris Evans and Chris Pratt are using their football fan rivalry for good by challenging each other to a Super Bowl bet for charity.
The actors' hometown teams are going head to head in the big game on 1 February (15), with Evans' New England Patriots facing off against Pratt's reigning Super Bowl champs, the Seattle Seahawks.
Captain America Evans started taunting the Guardians of the Galaxy
star on Twitter.com on Monday (19Jan15), the day after the Patriots
clinched a spot in the Super Bowl with a convincing victory over
the Indianapolis Colts.
Evans wrote, "Well, well, well @prattprattpratt, looks like our
teams are going into battle. For the next 2 weeks, you are not my
friend, you are my enemy."
Guardians of the Galaxy star Pratt, who posted shots of himself at
the Seahawks game online, replied, "We both know there's only one
Captain America and his name is (Seahawks quarterback) Russell
Wilson."
Evans decided to take the rivalry to the next level by proposing a
friendly bet between them, and wrote, "them's fightin words.
Stakes?"
Pratt then suggested that if the Seahawks win the big game, Evans
would have to visit the Seattle Children's hospital dressed as
Captain America, waving the team's signature '12th Man' flag.
Evans accepted the bet and wrote back that if the Patriots
"humiliate your seachickens", Pratt would be expected to don his
Star-Lord costume and add a replica of Patriots quarterback Tom
Brady's jersey and visit Boston's Christopher's Haven center, which
provides a home for kids battling cancer.
Pratt accepted, and replied, "You're on sucka (sic)."
