Chris Brown sends condolences to Rihanna

Chris Brown ‏has reached out to his ex-girlfriend Rihanna after hearing her beloved grandmother has died, insisting he's "praying" for the star and her family.

Clara 'Dolly' Braithwaite lost her battle with cancer and the Umbrella hitmaker shared her grief with her Twitter.com followers over the weekend (30Jun12-01Jul12).

She tweeted, "Goodbye grangranDOLLY get your beauty rest until I see you..." before adding later, "grangranDOLLY that is all."

Brown's mother Joyce Hawkins, who is also his manager, sent a comforting message to the singer on the site, and now her son has added his condolences.

In a post on his page, he writes, "Praying for family and the lost loved one. She was like my grandmother. Love you GRAN GRAN! RIP."
