Singer Chris Brown is opening up about his life in a new documentary.

Chris Brown: Welcome To My Life will hit theaters for one night only on 8 June (17) and it will feature interviews with celebrities including Usher, Jennifer Lopez, Mary J Blige, and Jamie Foxx. The documentary has been directed by Andrew Sandler and produced by Andrew Listermann.

In addition to the release of the film, moviegoers will get to see an exclusive question-and-answer session from Chris and a special introduction to the movie. The theater release will be hosted by Fathom Events.

"This special cinema event features a phenomenal talent in the music industry," Fathom Events CEO John Rubey says. "Throughout the evening, audiences will get unfettered access alongside fellow fans to Chris through interviews, behind-the-scenes shots and concert footage that gives everyone a front row seat."

As part of the documentary, fans will see an inside look into Chris' career and personal life, which has been tumultuous over the past few years. The singer was sentenced to probation over his 2009 assault of then-girlfriend Rihanna and he is now facing allegations of abuse from ex-girlfriend Karrueche Tran.

The model-turned-actress was granted permanent legal protection from the Loyal hitmaker in February (17), after she filed court documents accusing Brown of threatening to kill her following the end of their four-year relationship. They are reportedly due in court over the matter later this month (May17).

Karrueche and Chris ended their relationship in 2015, after she discovered he had fathered a child with model Nia Guzman during a secret fling. The couple's daughter, Royal, turns three at the end of this month (May17).
