Chris Brown accused of beating up opponent at basketball bash
R&B star Chris Brown appears to be in trouble again following an alleged altercation on a basketball court in Las Vegas on Monday morning (04May15) - but his aides insist an "unruly" party guest was simply asked to leave the bash.
The singer is accused of punching an opponent during a game at the Palms Casino Resort's Hardwood Suite just before 4am.
Sin City police have named Brown a suspect for battery but a
representative for Brown, who is in Vegas for a show at Drais on
Tuesday night (05May15), tells GossipCop.com the story surrounding
his client is false: "He has a suite at the hotel (Palms) that has
a basketball court and invited friends to come play. An unruly
individual showed up uninvited and was removed from the premises.
Chris was not in an altercation with this person."
But a spokesman for the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police says, "Chris
Brown has been given the option of signing a citation for
misdemeanor battery, or having the case submitted to the Clark
County District Attorney's Office for prosecution."
Trouble has followed Brown wherever he goes in recent years - he
has been caught up in parking lot brawls, altercations outside
hotels and bar bust-ups, and he has just completed his probation
following a 2009 incident, during which he beat up his
then-girlfriend Rihanna.
