Cheryl Fernandez-Versini scores fifth number one single in native U.K.

Singer Cheryl Fernandez-Versini has landed her fifth solo number one single in Britain.


The ex-Girls Aloud star's latest track, I Don't Care, has debuted at the top of the U.K. pop charts, toppling Ed Sheeran's Thinking Out Loud and ending a tie for four solo number ones with Geri Halliwell and Rita Ora.


Sheeran's Thinking Out Loud falls to two, while Meghan Trainor's All About That Bass round out the new top three.


John Legend's recent appearance on Britain's X Factor has given him a huge chart boost - his ballad All Of Me has shot into the top five at four from number 26.


Sheeran reclaims the album chart top spot from his pal Taylor Swift. His release X returns to number one, while Swift's 1989 falls to three.


DJ Calvin Harris, who was forced to pull out of a performance at Sunday night's (09Nov14) MTV European Music Awards in his native Scotland due to illness, has something to smile about saw - his fourth studio album, Motion, debuts at number two.


Violinist Andre Rieu's Love In Venice album and Sam Smith's In The Lonely Hour round out the new top five.
