Cheryl Cole shows off new man in Cannes

British pop star Cheryl Cole has sparked rumors she is enjoying a blossoming new love affair after she was spotted with a new man during her trip to the Cannes Film Festival in France.

The former Girls Aloud star has been in town to attend the famous film industry gathering, and she has been spotted at a number of events with Jean-Bernard Fernandez-Versini, a French restaurant owner.

The pair has been pictured together on a string of dates, and Britain's The Sun newspaper reports they are a new couple.

A source tells the publication, "She's really happy. They're an item and Cheryl is ready to find love again."

Cole divorced soccer player Ashley Cole in 2010 amid allegations he cheated on her, and her last relationship, with dancer Tre Holloway, ended last year (13).
