British pop star Cheryl Cole is to donate $160,000 from her perfume sales to the new charity she has launched to help youngsters in her hometown.
The former Girls Aloud singer, whose married name is Cheryl Fernandez-Versini, has set up Cheryl's Trust to aid young people in her native Newcastle, England, and she is giving the organization a boost with a big donation.
Cole is launching the latest version of her fragrance, StormFlower
Eau De Toilette, across the U.K. next month (Mar15), and she will
be handing over a large slice of the proceeds to her charity.
A statement about the launch reads, "£100,000 from the proceeds of
the sale of Cheryl's new StormFlower EDT will be donated to
Cheryl's Trust."
