Channing Tatum and Tom Hardy walk away from Triple Frontier movie

Channing Tatum and Tom Hardy have reportedly dropped out of starring in action thriller Triple Frontier.

The film was slated to start production next month (May17), but bosses at Paramount Pictures have since axed the movie from their line-up.

J.C. Chandor was set to direct the film and Mahershala Ali and Adria Arjona recently joined the cast. It is unclear if they will stay attached to the project if it is picked up by another studio.

According to Deadline.com, Tatum and Hardy were unhappy with a recent rewrite of the script. Hardy reportedly asked for "extensive changes" to be made to the film, but bosses at the studio then decided not to move forward with the movie at all.

Triple Frontier was written by Mark Boal and set in the border zone between Paraguay, Argentina and Brazil.

It's the latest setback for the project - Boal's Zero Dark Thirty and The Hurt Locker collaborator Kathryn Bigelow was once attached to direct the film with Tom Hanks, Will Smith, and Johnny Depp in talks to star.
