Hip-hop star Chance The Rapper is set to launch his own beer when the 2015 Pitchfork Music Festival kicks off in his native Chicago, Illinois next weekend (17-19Jul15).

The 22 year old has teamed up with tastemakers at the local Goose Island brewery for No Collar, a 5.3 per cent lager which will be served up at the company's various bar stands during the upcoming three-day music event.

Chance the Rapper reveals he wanted to create a beer "for the hardworking people of Chicago... exactly what you want to drink after a long day of work".

No Collar will also be made available on draft at bars across the Chicago area after its festival debut.

The star joins the likes of rockers Iron Maiden, Status Quo's Rick Parfitt and Francis Rossi, Motorhead and Mastodon, who all also boast their own brands of beer.

Chance the Rapper is among the headliners at next weekend's Pitchfork Music Festival, alongside Wilco and Sleater-Kinney.
