Chad Kroeger heaps praise on new wife in first major joint interview

Avril Lavigne's new husband Chad Kroeger has opened up about their marriage, insisting he loves watching Harry Potter films with her and enjoys her cooking.

The couple wed in France in July (13) and the Nickelback rocker insists he and his wife are still enjoying the honeymoon period.

In a joint TV interview with Entertainment Tonight Canada, Kroeger says, "Married life's good. It's been 94 days."

And Lavigne insists she picked the right guy this time after previously exchanging vows with Sum 41 star Deryck Whibley, adding, "He's such a gentleman, actually, that he's always like, 'What do you want to see?' We watched Harry Potter together."

Kroeger admits it was enjoyable: "It was kinda fun to do the entire series together."

Talk then turned to the Complicated singer's kitchen skills. The happy husband says, "I could burn water (but) she's an amazing cook."

Modest Lavigne insists, "I just go with the flow and kinda see what's in the fridge and then start," prompting her husband to state, "Yeah, but you never miss. I've never tasted one thing that you've put on the table where I was like, 'I wish I had a dog'. That's never happened."
