CARRIE UNDERWOOD HONOURED IN NASHVILLE

Carrie Underwood has been honoured with the Nashville Symphony's Harmony Award in Tennessee for her love of music in the city.

The country singer was presented with her latest accolade at the annual Symphony Ball on Saturday (12Dec09).

Previous recipients include LeAnn Rimes, Trisha Yearwood, Dolly Parton and Steve Winwood.

Underwood says, "I feel like I'm getting more involved here in Nashville. This is my community. I'm going to be here for a very long time, if not for the rest of my life, and I love it here, so it's nice to feel like I'm part of this town."
