Carrie Underwood and husband stopped for speeding

Written by . Published: June 10 2013

Carrie Underwood and her husband had a brush with police on Sunday (09Jun13) when cops pulled over their car for speeding.

The singer was travelling with her partner, ice hockey player Mike Fisher, when the car he was driving was pulled over for breaking a 45 miles per hour speed limit.

Underwood brushed off the incident by poking fun at her husband in a post on Twitter.com, writing, "Ok... so, Mr. 'I'm gonna star (start) a driving school in Nashville' just got us pulled over for going 56 in a 45. Just sayin (sic)..."

Fisher, who previously boasted of his driving skills on the social networking website, blamed the mishap on the couple's dog, Ace, replying to his wife, "Not my fault Ace had to pee!"
